In this thread we make fun of losers who haven't been smart enough to start their own backyard orchards and gardens. I have plums and several plum hybrids, peaches, pears, and low chill varieties of cherries.

I had the same problem early on. I had to convince my neighbor to cut down two huge pine trees that were blocking my sun.

Nice. You should plan on a small pond for the duck/bros/. You could also stock the pond with fish.

Only the early models, later ones actually had some thought put into them.

Pic related can either be reloaded by wearing a belt with a hook in it, then placing the string on the hook and pulling the bow down with your foot. That's what the "stirrup" at the front is for. Or you can use the handles at the back.

I just bought a house and am in the process of cleaning up the back yard. It was all left overgrow so it's taking a while to cut back. Everywhere that doesn't have grass had a huge weedy bush. You can see all the stumps where I've cut them down.
I didn't even know this plum tree or tap were hiding in the bush, so I'm going to make this area a mini orchard. I'm going to plant that loquat tree, get an orange and an apple. I also really want a cherry tree.

>live on second floor of apartment
>made a garden last year under the "better to ask forgiveness than permission" philosophy
>landlord was fine with it
>building doesn't have a spigot on the outside

Basically I spent all last year carrying 5 gallon buckets of water from my bath tub down the stairs and to the yard. I finally got to know my neighbors in a house well enough to ask them if I could use their spigot in exchange for some veggies. They said yes. Feels good.
