Do you label your spice rack?

Why are trannies such faggots? They don’t even look like the women they are so desperate to imitate.

It comes with a label when you buy it.

I only use salt and pepper. Paprika if I'm feeling adventurous.

Lol lol lol lol

Ummm it sort of answers itself if you think about it just a little.

Some people buy in bulk and swap a portion to a smaller container meant to be on the counter top.

Yeah, not like herbs look the same or anything.

Take your edge right back to whatever containment board you came from.

The person you're describing:
>buys several similar spices in bulk
>uses these spices often enough to warrant keeping smaller containers of them handy
>still can't tell them apart by look or smell

Eight spices? Oh, some must be doubles. "Oregano"? What the hell...

You can't distinguish between 8 herbs? Reddit is ----> this way.

Why would you have unknown spices in your kitchen?
The question is about labeling, not spice trivia.

You mean your cooking is so sedentary you don't experiment with new dishes and spices?

How fucking sad. Must be burgers and pizza (again).

You have a very special mind, you know that? Deserving of a foundation of some kind.

>> No.13990277

Why wouldn't I label my spices? I mean, they come with labels, but even if I repackaged them all into containers, labels are fucking useful.
Saves me from having to pay too close attention and makes it possible to grab the right spice from a ways off.

The fucking idiots in this thread that demand people should be able to recognize spices without labels apparently don't use a lot of spices.

I purchase my spices from an artisan that grinds them with his family and then sells them at the market. They come in little baggies. When I get home I transfer them to glass containers. Some I put on a perforated lid atop. I have dozens of spices and herbs. Labeling them is useful.

When you purchase small batches of spices in tiny glass jars from your grocery store, you're paying so much extra just for the "luxurious packaging" when you could package them yourself and refill them yourself.

No, but me and my wifey keep separate racks because she's a picky eater. Has a full arsenal of stuff, but only uses garlic, onion, paprika etc. I've been having to section off my spices lately tho. Like into Euro, Asian and South American. Tbh, I need to stop buying shit out of curiosity.

Of course
I have a label printer in my home office
I started buying these cheap generic snaplock jars from the local since I figure I can always get more, so far so good they're always in stock
I've added 2 tiers since this shot, 56 in total, much nicer having uniform jars than the 20 different types of packaging spices come in

You can only get basic spices at a supermarket and they're normally shit since plebs can't even tell the difference between bad or good quality peppercorns.
As soon as you try and make an oriental dish or fine cuisine from scratch, you have to go elsewhere.

>> No.13995505

>>13989679
No I just pick something off that looks like its the color of what I want and see how it goes. If its bad, you might have to alter the dish a little, but it helps with creativity. You can get some really surprisingly good things when you accidentally choose the wrong spice.
