Sadly in my part of our country it´s nearly impossible to get a Gyros. Ölaugen everywhere and they had even attacked some of the Greeks/Pork-using Restaurants or Lieferdienste.
Worst of that all alone...not a single Asia-Shop left. Only some arabs/persian/turks (who cares, they are all the same) Foodmarkets with their nasty Halal meat.

there is good food. you just need to know where to look. Iranians have good grilled meat kebabs (kubideh, jujeh kebab, for example) and decent stews (kabobe digi, chorme sabsi, etc). Turkish köfte are pretty great (spicy minced lamb pattys), so is their rice and chili paste they use on everything (the one on turkish pizza). arabian tajims can be amazing but thats about it. Lebanese cuisine is insane in its own way.
