My gf has a great supply of utensils and spices. So she thinks she cooks like her aunt. But she really cooks like her mom. I got tired of her fucking up 50% of her shit and being like "oh well lol." So I finally sat her down and basically told her that she can't cook... BUT she can learn to. I encourage her to use REAL recipes from Alton Brown or Martha Stewart. Not dumb thrown-together shit from ThiccChef346786 on Pinterest. I encourage her to read REAL cookbooks to learn about prep and flavor balance and how to tell from sight and touch and taste when food is done. I encourage her to watch YouTube to learn techniques.

It's funny to say white people can't cook, but it's really anybody raised with 21st century American ideals. We aren't taught to do things methodically and the right way. Just to buy a Ninja Chopper and a B&D Air Fryer and a Lodge pan and that makes us able prepare a decent dish.
