How come we don't have deboned wings? I've never seen them in restaurants, fast food or in any grocery stores.
Boneless shit is just plain nasty as fuck. Bone in is delicious but sometimes you don't want to fuck with bones.

The whole point of chicken wings is they're cheap garbage meat.
Paying a man to sit there and debone each and every individual wing is going to cot a hell of a lot more than 50 cents each.

You can just debone drumsticks too.
Also there are industrial deboning machines. Problem is the demand, it seems like no one wants a deboned chicken wings/drumsticks

Garbage meat my ass. It's delicate meat with a high ratio of skin and delicious tendons. The average fast food wing drenched in sugary sauce is a waste of wings, by the way. I don't expect you to understand, but you need to admit that you have inferior taste.

>cheap
>garbage meat
Wings are inexplicably the same price as breast or thigh meat at the store.

I don't mean garbage meat as in "meat I don't like" I mean the meat was literally considered garbage offal and was discarded until poor people figured out you could sauce them in bulk and make them taste good.
Obviously that perception has long passed but wings are still relatively cheap fare as far as restaurant food goes and this is because they can be still made in bulk. Having a guy debone each and every one adds time and cost to preparation that isn't worth it to anyone.

Are boneless wings actually not boneless wings? Are they chicken nuggets?

>> No.13889877

>>13888244
it's because the chicken industry grows fewer but larger birds for the sake of efficiency, but this only produces 4 pieces you can sell as wings no matter how big the chicken gets

meanwhile wings are more popular now than ever before

You can also debone your mom

debrain your opinions back into your head and pretend you never made this thread because it's stupid and you're stupid.

Basically. They're chicken breast cut into chunks then breaded.

>> No.13891137

The official FDA terminology is "WYNGZ", named as such to be whimsical. In reality, it is a way to sell breaded breast meat (otherwise, "NUGGETS") to adults who want to party.

Only in certain parts of the world. In most of the world, their delicacy and rarity compared to larger parts of the bird has always made them a treat.
