Does alligator meat taste good?

Yes, they're easy to catch too. Don't need any tools or contraptions.

>> No.13882565

I'd always heard that it tasted like chicken, but I don't think it does. It has a lean, meaty flavor and it definitely tastes like it came from the water. The texture is nothing like chicken either.

But to answer your question, yes, it's actually pretty tasty. I had it in Nashville at some Cajun honky-tonk place.

It's okay, I eat it every so often in homemade sausages (none of that shitty "exotic animal sausage thats actually 99% pork/beef")

It's really mild. Tastes aquatic, but not fishy. I imagine it would be really good fried

It definitely is.
In Florida, basically every seafood restaurant has fried gator on the menu.

Cold blood means it moves much slower. Losing a limb pretty much means nothing to a gator or croc. They're basically serpents with legs.
