Don't waste too much time trying to put lipstick on a pig. About the only way you're gonna make it palatable is to drown it in some other flavor.

Use 2.5 tablespoons of real butter ideally European style butter, add the sharpest shredded cheddar cheese you can find, use 1/3rd a cup a milk instead of 1/4th to make the sauce still come out smooth.

There is something they use in the powder for specifically the rich n creamy and three cheese varieties of boxed mac that my body doesn't like, because every time I eat either one of those I end up spending an hour on the toilet late that night, and it's not just the Kraft brand either, store brand versions do it too

Make your own. Equal parts butter milk and cheddar. Melt butter and milk together, whisk. Coat shredded cheddar in a ton of cornstarch. Bring sauce to a simmer and slowly add the cheddar and whisk until smooth. portion at a time and whisk. Once smooth, add your cooked elbow mac.

>> No.13873840

What's the marketing reason behind calling it Kraft Dinner in Canada?

>> No.13873874

>>13873840
It used to be called Kraft Dinner in both the US and Canada, with "macaroni and cheese" in small writing on the bottom, but to make sure people knew what it was, the US changed it to just "kraft macaroni and cheese", Canada couldn't do that because they need to have both french and English on the same box, so the word "kraft dinner" become more prominent on the box than "macaroni and cheese". Canadians got used it and just recognize it immediately as macaroni and cheese just from the name Kraft Dinner, so we don't need the macaroni and cheese part on the box

You can make a decent Mac and cheese with three or four ingredients, and two of them are in the goddamn name.
It is not difficult or time consuming to cook. If you aren't baking it it's faster than making it from a box.
