brah i had testaroli at a wedding in genoa. that wedding was the fucking best thing ever and it was apparently cheap as fuck. started with a limitless supply of hot and cold food being brought out to us standing in the courtyard then we inside and there was a seven course meal. i didn't even know we were getting a sit down meal, i ate so fucking much fried zucchini flower and octopus and salad and little stuffed breads and charcuterie and all kinds of other shit. liguria is amazing

>> No.13852210

>>13852182
People are great, sometimes odd. Terroni aren't bad! Only calabrians are insufferable. There's definitely a fishing and a foraging culture here, wild herbs, chestnuts, game meat like rabbit..the cuisine isn't based on farms very much. I know the South has both too but you also have much more "farm" food in your diet too right?

Yeah man I was joking of course. But Ligurian food is awesome. Had an incredible weekend at cinque terre.
The similarity with the south comes from macchia and sea of course, but to be honest it stops there. Oil for example, you guys like it delicate, we like it strong.

Of course there is more inland food in Sicily as it... has one. Liguria's inland is just Piedmont.

I'll be honest...I LOVE the taggiasca as an olive to eat....but as an oil, I prefer yours, the stronger ones. Not for cooking our recipes, but raw, for salads or on grilled meats. It's much more interesting.

Liguria's inland doesn't exist, we're coast-thiefs.. like Croatia or Chile. You guys have the best deserts in the world....

yes, in general it's somewhat like this
O is singular masculine
A is singular femminine
I is plural masculine
E is plural femminine
however there's plenty of cases where this doesn't apply
if a word originates form an action its male singular most of the time ends with an E
"radiatore" takes the name from what it does, it radiates. "ore" is like the "er" from a word like "runner", "corridore" in italian, as "corsa" broadly means run or running
other words straight don't have a plural form and it's defined by the article in front

More ridges and grooves means more sauce on the pasta so to say that kind of "wild" pasta "tastes better" is not really far fetched or untrue. That being said the nature of the pasta is not exactly quality.

If I had to choose a definite form, it would be farfalle. Sure I'm a dick about it. Thing is, there's nothing I'd rather cook with. It's hyper-versatile and can do pretty much anything. Earliest memory I have of cooking is with those little shits.

Other than shitty hippie dishes with pine nuts because fuck you that's stupid and I'm tired of that north african thing.
