It’s like you don’t even like flavour.

Knorr, right anon?

>> No.13823684

It's useless with pasta. Dont be stupid and use your stock for the sauce.

>> No.13823718

I do that for rice. Also using orange juice instead of water is pretty good

Only for one-pot pastas. I do one that starts with sausage and onions, then add garlic, then I add orichiette and stock and simmer until the pasta gets almost tender. Then a big huge bunch of greens goes in and cooks until wilted.

I put enough basil in the water to make a tea and use that to boil pasta.

I do the same with chamomile when making sweet rice

You're supposed to salt the water, LIKE THE OCEAN. Chef Pasquale said so!

I also sometimes add a tablespoon of oil. This is the maximum of what pasta needs to cook.

Instead of waiting for a pot to come up to a boil you can do this to get ramen in less than 8 minutes
>Put ramen in a pan (yes a pan)
>Cover with cold water by an inch
>Bring to a boil
>Check for doneness after around 3-4 minutes
>Put noodles in a bowl
>Add a little bit of the pasta water and use the flavor packet to coat the noodles
>Blast with cold water
Wala

It's fine for staples to be bland as long as you've got something tasty as an accompaniment.
