I recently made:
>clam chowder
tasted terrible, the chowder itself was fine but the canned clams still tastes like canned clams and did not absorb any of the soups flavour
>lobster linguine
easiest and thing I ever made that was also delicious. You literally cannot ruin this recipe, just throw a cut a lobster still in shell into a pot with butter and garlic, even if it overcooks it still tastes good, then through whatever else you want. I dumped in random spices I had like garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme, didn't really care. Then I cooked pasta as normal al dente and threw it into the pot afterwards and mixed it up, taking out the shells before. It looked disgusting because the excessive thyme I threw in made everything including the lobster look like dull green chunks, but it was delicious, and easy. Didn't even need sauce, the butter and the garlic/onion powder did the rest.
>ham and pea soup
Gave me diarrhea and gas. Would not make again.
>beef stew with rice
super easy to make, but takes 3 hours minimum with prep. Almost as delicious as the lobster pasta and was easy to make as well.

at the food bank i picked up a ton of various 'fresh salsas' from whole foods, trader joes, safeway .... what could i eat them with?
chips n dip? salsa and bread sandwich? chiliquiles? sautee some onions and potatoes and drench them in sauce? salsa soup?
anyway to thicken this into a paste and i could make hummus + salsa burritos?
any good ways to mix this with meat? i could go buy meat.

any ideas, people? i have a fridge and pantry full of stuff. tons of jarred peppers
