Well anon in my experience if you want to scam people by offering “polished turds” you have first to become good at what you make.

There’s a place opened by this guy who not only is a chef instructor but also an American style bbq pro cooker (Europe btw), he won several awards both for his cooking and in competitions.

He’s a good guy and really competent, he opened this very little place where he offers American bbq food and burgers, and I mean it’s basically the same as a good American equivalent burger in USA not joking, especially low and slow smoked ribs and meat.

The place worked under the radar for 1 year, always filled with people but the prices were low and the quality high, everybody was happy.

Suddenly on his first birthday the merchant spirit kicked in and this guy renewed the menu by raising the prices of everything but most importantly by offering gold plated burgers and steaks. The ultimate scam in the market, literally he makes you pay a gold covered fillet (edible gold cost NOTHING) 75€ in place of 20€ of the regular one and so on. He also make gold covered A5 wagyu.

People go there and spend tons of money to eat gold covered meat just to take a picture for Instagram, they’re not buying the meat but the smoke in the mirror, they pay for the privilege of doing something expensive to virtue signaling to their equal poor wage slave normies.

The owner is aware of this and he decided to scam idiot customers, but as I was saying in order to do this and keep customers happy you have to offer a very good product otherwise that thing won’t last until people start writing bad reviews for expensive shit steaks.
