a lot of the shitty eating habits in America come from how people were raised. a lot of lower and lower-middle class Americans grew up eating nothing but fast food and instant meals, which is how you end up with bizarre people who can't fathom the idea of eating fruits, vegetables, seafood, etc. when all a person knows is hamburgers and hot pockets it's hard to get them to eat anything else. Their entire food culture is based around franchises and chains. While every other country would think of a specific restaurant when asked about one, an American would only be able to picture something like an Applebees(TM) or a Friday’s(TM). As anyone but an american about bread and they will think about a local variety or whatever the baker close by makes; an American would think of boxed WonderBread(TM). Sadly Americans are incapable of thinking about food without thinking about fast food.

I am pretty sure its some sort of viral marketing. Its not even about "sales" directly, as in, you will see a post and go. It's about keeping up "brand awareness".

Logic goes, lots of "the youngs", and easily impressed incels, retards, neets, poor, go 4chan, they see the brands constantly, and so it becomes a safe, comfortable and familiar feature of their lives. And so will choose them rather than random burger down the corner.

the fast food threads are a mix of paid shills and lazy fatasses. Threads about nutritious foods and home cooked meals tend to fall off the board sooner because they neither bring in ad revenue nor entertain the fattest among us.

As for the "poorfag" and "soy" comments, those are in every topic that discusses anything besides bland and fattening foods. Hot sauce triggers them. Cuisines with a lot of spice trigger them. Meal prep and dieting threads trigger them. They just can't deal with people liking things different from what they like, so they post the same wojack repeatedly and screech out insults.
