Ha, plants and animals for the most part do not make light (besides some deep sea organisms that fluoresce). Blue is indeed the most energetic form of visible light, but what we see with stuff like this is reflected light, so we see the colors they do not absorb

So in the case of green plants they have molecules that absorb blue light and ones that absorb red and yellow light that it converts to usable energy in the chloroplast, so they look green. (but as leaves die the chloroplasts break down and other colors begin to dominate)

There is no real simple explanation for why blue is so uncommon in plants and animals, its probably just a fluke that not many easily evolveable pigments are blue, in fact most organisms that do appear blue only do so through refraction rather than pigments
