I assume this is because of the chili extract. They didn't much bump up any of the actual powdered chili pepper in the 2x except for replacing much of the black pepper with more red (also probably hurt the flavor), there's just a fuckton more chili extract in it, which adds a bunch of heat but absolutely zero flavor.

That's not the problem at all. It's the shitting later on that actually hurts if anything. No matter how bad spiciness is it's never that big of a deal when you're tasting it. Passing through your intestines and then out your anus is the real limiting factor to capsaicin heavy foods.

I have to say I'm not a huge fan of spicy for the sake of spicy and this stuff is pretty fucking hot, but the sauce actually has a very nice, mildly sweet flavor that comes through and is really tasty. I enjoy these quite a bit but not as a regular part of my diet.

Although, it does help build spice tolerance. Cooked it in a variety of different ways, that's one good appeal to this, as it isn't as bland as most instant ramen noodles.

It's actually not a bad question. I don't think any non-human animals enjoy spicy foods. It's kind of strange that we ended up enjoying it since it still causes activation of burning sensations in our brains like it does for other animals. Humans are uniquely masochistic in this way.
