Have you tried one of McDonald's fresh beef burgers? They blow Wendy's the fuck out. McDonald's has always been kind of acceptable because of that salty flavor the burgers have and the fresh beef is seasoned the same so it's really incredible. You get the classic, salty flavor you expect but the patty is hot, juicy and rather tender. Wendy's has all fresh beef, of course, but the burgers are seriously tasteless. Very little salt or anything, and the meat is slightly chewier so if you have a big double or triple burger you really notice the blandness of the whole thing. The toppings at Wendy's are god tier but they compensate for the lame patties, while McDonald's quarter pounder has that creamy American cheese and decent onions that compliment the fact that their patty has real flavor to it.
Wendy's is still better in terms of choice and their non burger stuff is great, but the day McDonald's gives up on frozen beef is the day they leave everyone else in the dust.

This. It's £17.70 for the classic menu, a Cheeseburger, five guys fries and a milkshake. I travel a lot for work and that's way out of my meal expense budget of £11*. If you want a quick lunch head to McDicks for a McDouble and a latte. If you want a good proper restaurant burger you can get a great burger, pint and give a tip for the same price of the five guys burger at a burger speciality restaurant, no fast food shit. Not sure who the target market for this is.
