Gyro meat is wonderful, but the real flavour comes from the tzatziki mixed with cucumber cut up with tomato and some lettuce with seasoning salt and GOOD FETA.

chicken or gyro meat(lamb, beef, with rosemary) etc.. is just gravy.

Yeah that version is a shit gyro. What you need to do if you don't want to find an authentic greek gryo joint, is buy these pitas, and make your own salad, consisting of cubed cucumber, tomato, lettuce, tzatziki and feta cheese(trestella makes amazing feta) and seasoning salt on top. Never use anything other than these pitas.

The one I took a picture of is just out of the freezer, but you toast it in a pan before using and it's the best goddamn flatbread you'll ever taste.
