7-Up cake has been a thing a long time, the soda gives the cake an airy texture and light citrus flavor. Aldi just made a commercial version of a classic recipe.

I had a really popular recipe once, it was called Fanta Cuts. It's standard a cake base topped with a heavy sour cream and orange lemonade mix. Garnished with some fruit. The girls at work loved it but I don't work there anymore. So I never made it again and finally lost the recipe.

This isn't unusual.
It's a lemon cake.
some water, sugar, and lemon flavor come from the soda.
The CO2 in the soda leavens the batter and makes it light and fluffy.

I made a root beer cake that was pretty nice once.
Nice with a scoop of ice cream.

Isn't there a US city where this is like, their thing?
I've seen threads where someone posts this unironically, and there are a few replies that say "unknown city" REPRESENT
or "area code" REPRESENT
