Welp... Taco bell just replaced the dollar menu with their 'cravings menu' and jacked all the prices up. They just lost me as a customer.

They did hook me up with a fat burrito though, and since it's going to be my last one from them I will always remember it.

If I didn't have a job do you think I would be complaining? I work so it's not free. I don't think you understand. They changed my go-to item from $1.00 to $1.20. I usually get 3 of them so that's now $3.58 instead of $3.27. I eat there quite often because the food is only $1. Now I have to spend more of my hard earned money. I'll go eat where the prices are as advertised.

It's not just me, they're doing this to everyone that eats there. With the added up money they're making millions more than they were last month. It's not fair. They aren't paying their workers more money for it, they're just being greedy assholes.

I'm not even poor. I would rather spend $10 on a cheeseburger that's worth $10 than spend extra money on a burrito because some corporate fuck didn't think he was rich enough already.

my first job was leveling shelves in a grocery store
that's it, I just walked up and down the aisles and moved things to the front

it's a job that has to be done, but also a job that isn't worth $15 an hour
so if you're insisting on $15 an hour then that job will obviously be the first to get eliminated

what happens next? well the cashiers will need to pick up the extra work load, so they will have to step away from the cash register to level shelves during the day
so now you have longer lines building up, less happy customers, some of them will probably stop shopping with you
your cashiers have a higher work load so employee moral goes down since they are rushing around all day between the register and the shelves, and you can't hire more of them because the wages are too high
so of course this means more people are out of work as a result since your business isn't hiring

You can make that job worth fifteen dollars an hour. If you have someone who is hired just to level shelves then you've fucked up in general, unless those individuals are like subsidized by the government due to disability or mental infirmity.

Why would you have a "leveler" when you can just get your stockers to do it? Add another stocker to your shift instead, they happen to being going through the aisles anyways. If you have to add another stocker to replace two levelers thats fine. No one puts in even a modicum of effort in makework positions like those anyways, so giving it to someone who's actually getting paid enough to care will only improve things.

The jews are not the sole 1%, it's actually a lot of nepotism between various races. Focusing on just one or a specific religion does the entire topic a total disservice and it shows you're just another tool of the corporations.

It's true. You ever think about how despite "jews" controlling everything, regular white collar and blue collar jews are still oppressed by the same rulers?

It's almost as if...yikes, wait for it! It's almost as if corporations have only themselves as interests and nothing more, and that billionaires are the enemy of mankind.

It is worth $15/hour.

>but EMTs make that much

The real question is why are certified EMTs making $15 when they should be making more

>But EMTs can't be making as much as specialized skilled personelle

Good point, they should also be making more. CoL and inflation has exploded where theoretically we should be making ~$25/hr to have a basic living but economists and rich assholes with nothing to do with the lower class dictates how the lower class should live

Wages arent determined by how much you feel you deserve, but by how easily you are replaced and how much wealth you generate. (Supply and demand)

>> No.13505890

>>13505874

>you feel you deserve

It's not how I feel, it's reality. We can manage to justify $7.25/hr because people live with family, have 20 roommates, have mexicans working under the table, work 2-3 jobs at once and other things that manage to let people just not fucking die in the street. The moment anyone loses any of those support systems they are fucked.

Granted, we can argue they don't deserve to "not" go homeless. It's nobody's responsibility but their own. But as we start having people die from lack of money, the absolute mental stress breaking people (say for example, rise in suicides, mass shootings, and abuse of hard drugs) which will surely dwindle your work force you'll start to see a problem. Thank god for automation though. Why worry about poor people when you can literally phase them out and let your children live in luxury as the gross unwashed masses eventually disappear

>> No.13505948

You literally aren't addressing the facts that determine wages. You're just winging about what you feel you deserve.

>> No.13505967

>>13505948

Here's a concept, by paying people shit, you are giving them an incentive not only to be easily replaced but to willingly quit on their own, meaning the costs you saved by paying them shit are being offset by training someone new every week. Perhaps if you invested in a fair enough wage, you would actually "SAVE" money by not having to train a new person who will more than likely fuck up and also cost you money in productivity and a loss in product/inventory

how's that for you?

>> No.13505996

>>13505967
It's incoherent and nonsensical. Wages are the distribution of wealth generated by work. If you want to be apid more you need to create more wealth with your work. Software developers arent paid more than civil engineers (people who build roads and bridges) because they are more deserving or dependent or whatever silliness you're talking about. Software developers are paid more because software has mich higher profit margins and thus the effective demand is significantly higher.
Tho if i could expect you to understand what "supply" and "demand" meant in market terms, we wouldnt be having this conversation.
