Texas BBQ is trash, and Texans only don't know it because they've deluded themselves into assuming their way is the best so they refuse to try any other.

I'm from PA and our rednecks at least try to pass as rednecks. These guys make completely obvious that they are just playing dress-up. I'm not sure what's worse though, wanna-be rednecks or actual rednecks.

These guys love playing dress-up. Did you see the episode where they were pretending to target shoot with bb guns in their yard?
Adding recoil motions to a bb gun. Martha must be proud.

it isn't. I haven't tried a lot of different american BBQ, but there are definitely different styles in terms of sauce (the meat mostly gets cooked the same way yea). The sauce is the big difference, and I've tried a few different ones, Tennessee really like heavy vinegar/salt in their sauces, Texas has great smokey and sweet sauces, I haven't tried enough of the styles to say which is best tho.

as far as chicken sandwiches though, Nashville wins hands down. The fried chicken I had in Tennessee was over rated as fuck, the po boy sandwiches from New Orleans are accurately rated (fantastic), and the pulled pork in the south is just amazing in general, I only had one from Louisiana and Arkensas though so I couldn't tell you which is best.
