If you put any fat or oil in the pan before frying fatty things like bacon or ground beef, you're wasting your money.

no you aren’t because water cooks out of the meat before any fat does and you’ll be left with a shitty crusted pan

Unless your ground beef is way over 20% fat or you're cooking it at a relatively low heat, a minimal amount of oil in the pan is good.

What is Dice Frying? You cook on a low heat so the fat comes out first then turn the heat up to fry. Is this board like /fit/ where most of the anons don't do the thing the board is about?

Yes. Most threads are about fast food and racism.

It's ideal for eggs, rice or veg. I use it when grilling or stir frying veg mostly. For meat I always recommend animal fat. The only oil I really use is EVOO and that's more of a finish than cooking with it. In my opinion, the minimum amount you can use is ideal.

To be fair I had never heard the actual term for it either, but I inferred it from context here. It's the shit that sticks to the pan when frying. It's what comes off when you deglaze the pan.
