meat alternatives can be cheaper too if you know where to shop or if you make it yourself. popular brands like Beyond and Impossible are still more expensive than meat though because they haven't reached a large enough economy of scale. They'll soon become cheaper than meat and more competitors will pop up as people realize how unhealthy those popular brands are.
