I chop up a sirloin and cook it with lawrys taco seasoning, and make guac first. Then put a layer of cheeze on the chips and melt that. Add some beans, chopped onions and tomatoes and the meat. Second layer of cheese and heat it again, then guac, sour cream, and chopped lettuce on top. Here is a keto version I did without the chips or beans.

I also used ground turkey instead of sirloin this time. Its a lot better with the steak.

How do you make a cheese sauce that tastes good but also remains liquid for a while? Every time I made it, the cheese would just cool and solidify.

Dumb question but how do you even make nachos well? If I use oven, the chips get burnt before the cheese melts. Or the cheese just gets hard and crusty. I have never made a successful batch of nachos. Is there a specific chip or cheese? Is there a golden temperature for not burning the chips?

Use Velveeta cheese.

>> No.13469937

>Velveeta

That shit is not cheese it's oil. Might as well put gasoline over your chips for what its worth.

No, you melt the cheese in a pot and mix it with milk or cream or something so it doesn't harden when it cools down, then you pour it over the chips and serve

I love black olives but they are nasty on nachos, pickled jalapeños are a much better replacement. And salsa and jalapeños should be on the side so they don’t make the chips soggy, already to many wet ingredients on top anyways.

Zesty Doritos, topped with taco seasoned ground beef and then lots of cheese, then broiled in the oven until the cheese is slightly toasted.

Remove from oven, drizzle liberally with salsa and guacamole, and dabs of plain greek yogurt (commercial sour cream is gross with all the additives).
