I.... I like beans....
I have a weakness for french-style canned green beans. So mushy and sweet, brought to a simmer, drained, then drenched in butter.

2 cans french style green beans
1 can potatoes whole
ample baked ham or bacon (never use maple ham)
dump all in pot
+ the bean water
- the potatoe water
heat on low for hour with salt and pepper. I go heavy on the pepper my self.

serve with french bread and butter

makes an excellent camping dish, esp cold weather camping or just a good cold weather eats for the lazy

They are cheap, if you fuck them up no one notices because they taste crappy anyways. it takes little to no brains to make them. they are filling. In my entire life I have probably eaten about 1/2 gallon of them, but that's because I'm not poor.
