Recently I learned about satiety index and fullness factor of foods. Why don't more people talk about it? Just eat foods that satiate you more per calorie (protein-rich foods and fibrous carbs) and cut oil and butter. CICO

Because it's obvious. Because foods that are high satiety per calorie don't taste very good.

Oats and potatoes are the most satiating things I eat..

according to some data, any soda is actually pretty filling. soy milk, fish, fruit are all quite filling

You do realise that people experience different levels of satiety.
Hunger is completely subjective. Sure some eating certain foods will help you feel full for longer, but those disposed to greater feelings of hunger will still feel hunger sooner than those who do not.

Generally this is why skinny people stay skinny and fat people stay fat. They are just responding to what there body is telling them.

>You do realise that people experience different levels of satiety.
no. some foods will give more satiety on average (e.g protein).
>Hunger is completely subjective.
no it isn't. you might have better/worse metabolism and digestion, but some foods are simply more filling than others

I think it's more that skinny people don't mind feeling hungry sometimes where as fatties fear it and as soon as hunger peeks it's head out they think they need to feed it asap.

Fiber is key. It'll make you feel full even if you eat only a 1000-1200 kcal worth per day

sprinkle some aspartame on them.

fat people are fat because they're eating high fat foods. they're snacking on nuts, eating chocolate bars, indulging in fried snack chips. they're eating burgers and fries. eating muffins, bagels and cream cheese, pizza, eating bread with cheese on it. fried eggs with cheese, salad with oily dressing and cheese and meat chunks, I could go on and on. these foods will make you enormous in a short time.

this. all of those are low-satiety foods, and a lot of those are way too popular in America. butter, fatty meat, chips and candy bars is what most Americans love to indulge in. it's only logical US has #1 obesity rate in the developed world

Congrats on loosing the weight. The way I think about it is I like being hungry. I know what my body is doing why I’m hungry, so I try to reach that point at least once a day.

This is bullshit. Eat some boiled skinned potatoes and skinless chicken. Like zero fibre and you’ll feel full on very few calories.

Also fibre is basically gut poison. It’s a lie that your diet should be high fibre. Just like they lied to us about eggs in the 80s and red meat until recently. All lies and vegan propaganda.

Fuck fibre. My shits have never been better since I cut fibre out of my diet.

Yeah I didn't intend to and not how I lost the weight but now I usually just have one real meal a day with just snacks or fruits or vegetables or a few nuts if I'm doing a lot of work. I find I actually have far more energy when I'm a little hungry. Working a farm this summer and there were a few days when I had a big lunch or some of what the owner was making and always made me feel much more sluggish for the later part if the day.

Losing weight is by far the best thing I ever did, literally everything in life is better. I wish I could go back in time and tell myself how little of a deal it really is.

>Fiber is key.
glucose is key, because it raises blood sugar.
Ya'll actually want to spike blood sugar when you're eating a meal. Because when your blood sugar spikes, your appetite will decrease.
Fatty foods delay the blood sugar spike and lead to over-eating. Fatty foods are also calorie dense, making them even worse for you when eating in excess.

>> No.13361525

>>13361322
>Fatty foods delay the blood sugar spike
Assuming the meal is a mixture of carbs and fat.
a keto like meal won't raise blood sugar much at all.

High fat high carb foods like Doritos and pizza illustrate this effect perfectly.
People can gorge on both foods until they feel sick, because the high fat content delays/interferes with the fast absorption of glucose.
