Game stew. It's actually a autumn dish, often being called autumn stew, but it's common to eat throughout all the cold season and I can't think of any winter specific dish.

I doubt Americans eat this, it's peasant food at that. Traditional Dutch cooking is just peasant slop with root vegetables, potatos and meat. I love it. Although I do admit the smoked sausage is just about the least healthy meat one can eat.

probably because you're eating shitty chili, it varies so much, also regardless what these co/ck/ suckers says most people don't just eat it straight with a spoon, some corn chips or some corn bread go a long way to making it better. bean/ no bean doesn't matter just find one you like then tailor it to the way you like it , which is why Americans like it so much, there is no right way and its customizable to your tastes =freedom

I had hutspot for dinner, it was good. It's hard to play favourites for me when it concerns stamppot. It depends on what I feel like eating the most. Have you ever had raapstelenstamppot? It's amazing and a bit more refreshing than the others, especially during the early summer. Imagine pic related but with diced ham and a Duitse Biefstuk on the side.
