First time making a pie from scratch, the crust could look better but perhaps the imperfections has a certain aesthetic to it, what do you guys think?

Looks fine. Mine usually look worse. I thing it takes a fair amount of practise to be able to crimp a crust so it looks attractive.

Yeah I tried but I was having a lil bit of a hard time, but for my first dough I think it came out fine, nice and buttery with a good flake to it.

Well done, it didn't crack. That's the thing I see people fuck up the most. You already acknowledged the crust but maybe next time try to make it a little more symmetrical? That's nitpicking, though, I'd eat the fuck out of your pie.

when you are making your crust you wanna egg wash it after taking out your pie weights and let it cook a bit more to get the browning. other wise looks good. id eat it
