Peanuts beat everything by a mile.
They're cheap
They're delicious
They're versatile
And they're good for the environment because they're nitrogen fixers and require less water than other nuts, and have higher yields per acre.

It's true, it has very healthy and good brain fat. The brain is very picky for which fats it wants.

It's important to have a balanced fat diet. Saturated fat is good as a "basis", the same applies to olive oil. The heart only uses saturated fat for it's functioning, since it's the most stable energy source that exists. But the brain wants the good shit.

A balanced diet with olive oil, butter and animal fat from grass fed animals and wild fish fat as basis with included seeds and nuts (walnuts might be the best nut and flax the best seed) will ensure proper functioning of the whole body.

The worst that can happen is to eat so much bad fats like partly hydrogenated vegetable oils, that the brain has no choice and has to use bad fats.

Walnuts are awesome. A few of them every day can perfectly fit into a healthy balanced diet.

Have a nice day, everyone, haters and lovers alike.

I think chinese medicine is still a thing because their writing system is impossible to use so most chinese people end up functionally illiterate.

Western medicine isn't exactly good either. People start using a medication or two, then have side-effects and get new medications for for the side effects. Old people can often end up with 10-20 different meds. Experiments on elders where they gradually reduce these ridiculous amounts show that the elderly have it much better on less medication.

There is a lots of scams going on in alternative medication. But the research money goes into mainstream western medicine.

Yet's it's proven that thyme is just as good expectorant as the commercial western medicine-alternatives. Imagine what could be obtained if science could benefit humans instead of corporations. But it would break the pharmaceutical companies if things you can pick in nature or grow at home is proven to be just as effective or better, with less side effects, than the big pharma alternative.

That's because boomers don't value their health and are generally hazards to themselves and those around them.
You're supposed to regularly check in with your doctor if you're on any medication at all. Even a Wal-mart pharmacist can help you get off pills, or figure out which ones are in conflict. That's what they went to school seven years for.
Medicine works if you invest the bare minimum of effort into it.

>The heart only uses saturated fat for it's functioning
"The majority of fatty acids undergoing β-oxidation are not saturated fatty acids, but rather mono- or polyunsaturated fatty acids."
"At equivalent, noncompeting concentrations, in isolated working rat hearts, the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids such as oleate (Table 1) or arachidonic acid (540) occurs at similar rates to that of the saturated fatty acid palmitate. Similar fractional β-oxidation rates are observed for palmitate and oleate in the human heart (688)."

AFAICS we don't need saturated fat for anything really. The only major dietary source of relatively harmless saturated fat is Shea butter, for the rest better for your health to avoid it or eat in trace amounts.

Partial hydrogenation of oils for food use is entirely banned in the US, no exceptions. Has been for a while now.

Saturated fat is so important for the body that it can make it itself if it has to. That's why you can be technically correct if you say that "we don't need to eat saturated fat". But claiming we don't need it for anything, is pure stupidity. The heart uses saturated fat because it's the most stable energy source the body has.
