What is /ck/ opinion on Tabasco?
i fucking love the stuff, its just the right amount of spicynes and a vinegary flavor
you can add it to pretty much everything, i add it to almost everything i eat.
the habanero one is good too

solid stuff. It's good to have it as a standard in your kitchen for some things. Don't put it on everything, that's weird

There's lots of Louisiana style sauces, but that's actually the one I had in mind. Pic related is my personal go to sauce for putting on everything. Just the right amount of heat with amazing flavor to go with anything.

love it on eggs, basically make eggs just to eat it, I like vinegar though, I mean, I like salt and vinegar potato chips quite a lot too so maybe I'm just weird

i really like the tabasco because of its vinegary flavor and being spicy without being too hot.
if its too hot its no longer pleasant and it kills all the other flavors, if i ever see that one in a store ill be sure to give it a try

If that's what you like about Tobasco then you'll likely enjoy the one I posted. You could probably find some cheap sauces online if you're really wanting to branch out and there's no variety in your town.

this
imo habanero has the best taste of the tabasco sauces

>> No.13208304

I used to like it a lot when I was eating junk food like frozen pizza every day.
Now that I'm pretty good at cooking I don't like it anymore, then tabasco just overpowers any other flavour of the food and the food tastes of tabasco only. In terms of masking other flavours it's even worse than ketchup.

i'm so sick of hearing this, stop drowning your food in it and it won't be to vinegary ffs, if you want more heat buy a hotter version like the habanero.

It is very sour as well as hot but that's what I like about it. It's a combination of the vinegar added and the fermenting of the peppers first, it's tartness is strong. Some like it, some don't. Good either way imo.

>> No.13214258

I've kind of gotten sick of spicy stuff but I still love to drown my eggs in Tabasco. I've tried all the other basic bitch sauces and they're all too salty (Louisiana, Crystal) or muddy (Texas Pete).
For stuff that benefits from an actual pepper flavor I use habanero stuff like Marie Sharp's. Tabasco is basically vinegar with a bite.
