Can I get a QRD on the culinary utility/significance of goats?
Their cheese intrigues me.

They sell it frozen at an international market near me. I always assumed it was similar to lamb but I can buy lamb fresh, so I haven't bothered with it.

By weight goats produce triple the amount of milk produced by a cow. Unfortunately they weigh about 1/10th what a dairy cow does so their milk is still far more expensive. Goat farming also does not receive nearly the same level of subsidization as bovine farming.

Goat milk contains double to triple the amount of cream contained in cow milk but it is more time consuming to extract as it does not separate as readily as cow milk.

Goats have more personality than cows.

This. Goats are closer to dogs than cows in personality.

My close friend from childhood had a lot of goats, but they just used them to clear the brush and stuff never ate them or even milked them as far as I know. They were kind of fun to play with
