idk, I kinda like the "cookies and cream" Hershey's bar. Then again, I paid 65p for them.

I still don't get what the big deal about Twinkies is, you could literally buy better cakes at the bakery section.

Also, what's the deal with American's sweetening their peanut butter? I bit into a Reese's cup expecting it to be peanut butter but instead it's just sugar with added peanut butter.

Do people like that?

Everyone is hireable. You just gotta keep trying and catch a lucky break. A grocery store near me is located on the foot of a very low income residential commie block. Terrible area. And they hire a lot of people who are just plain weird. A girl who is barely a hair above legal dwarfism height and always has to stock shelves. An old excon lady with tattoo sleeves up her arms, who insists on wearing nothing under her cashier vest. Some guy missing an eye. And a whole brigade of people who have misplaced some chromosome or other. It's good shopping there. And it might not be much above minimum wage. But it is better than nothing and honest work.

Minimum wages were originally implemented by FDR as a living wage, meant to provide an explicitly "decent living" for the worker. Minimum wage workers are supposed to be able to support themselves and their families. The whole idea of "entry level" employment for children so they can get used to wasting their life in order to live longer is goofy-ass mickey mouse bullshit meant to institutionalize people like you. He wasn't a socialist in any sense of the word and I didn't make any statement on the value of his New Deal. Personally I think they were misguided and badly implemented.
The point is though that minimum wage was never mean to be for "people with the minimum amount of education and skills" before they get a job that they can actually live on. It was always meant to be a living wage, whether that is a good idea or not, and the "entry-level" delusion that chumps like that anon have is actually just a massive conspiracy to make the monkey dance without a banana.

Federal minimum wage in the US is $7.25/hr.
Having one job would be considered 40hr/wk.
That's $15,080/yr, which is ~$1,256/mo.
At that level of income, you're either not paying any income tax or it's so low it's practically negligible.
If you can't find a basic tiny 1-person apartment for less than or equal to $800/mo then you're either living in a state with a higher minimum wage anyway, or living in or near a city. In either case there's two simple and effective solutions:
1. Move somewhere with a lower cost of living. It's not like your minimum wage skills are restricting you from relocating.
2. Get a fucking roommate to split the burden with.

Roommates suck, they either have ridiculous rules that make you wonder why they want a roommate, are looking for someone to keep them company, or they’re sketchy as shit. It’s more than just living accommodation.

Not to mention that no matter how you split it you’re paying 50%+ on rent. If you just skip that whole deal altogether you don’t have to live like you’re in extreme poverty. A roof is kind of a scam at this wealth level.

FDR was "[seeking] legislation to end starvation wages and intolerable hours."
The phrase "decent living" is misleading due to the differences in meaning from back then compared to now. It did not imply you were able to entertain unnecessary extravagances.
Think someone can't support a family on minimum wage? That's most likely because you were spoiled and/or weren't taught how to be responsible; The type who doesn't understand that flavorful spices are luxurious, that disposable diapers are a convenience, that living somewhere so population dense that land isn't cheap is a privilege of skill and work.
Technology has made people entitled, they no longer understand that television and internet in the home are not necessary.

You are mostly right about the whole min wage = entry level bullshit. The thing is, though, that practically every minimum wage job is literally geared towards no-skill juvenile children. If you can literally be replaced by a juvenile with less than a week of training, you're not worth more. If it would take over a month to get someone to effectively replace you, employers are generally paying you above minimum wage.
This is also why experience and references are worth more than most degrees.

Dude I grew up hungry in a shithole country where half the population is still in feudal conditions and city-dwellers die of exposure in their own homes in the winter because there's nothing to burn. We still lived better than a family can on minimum wage in the US. When we could get food it was plenty flavorful. Good food is a requirement for a decent living, and is absolutely not a luxury. And it's hard to take you seriously if you don't realize that in most of the world being able to live comfortably outside a city is the luxury. People don't move to the city because they hate the fresh air and peace and quiet.
The $6 and some change an hour you make after taxes is barely enough to support one person in a city working full time or more who needs to stay in that city just to keep their minimum wage job. It's nowhere near enough to raise even a single child, much less support an unbroken family in the manner it's in theory meant to.
And anyways, whether or not you agree with the idea of a minimum wage the direct quote from Roosevelt himself is "and by living wages I mean more than a bare subsistence level-I mean the wages of decent living." He was a rich lawyer from an old money family. He knew what people heard when he said "decent living.

Honestly, we have Snapple over here, but I abstained sugary drinks for months and just recently drank a bottler. It just tastes like sugar. It's not like i remember it. Same goes for different sugary stuff.
I believe that you need to be constant with the consumption of sugar for these things to be palatable.

So I (>>13177472) bought it yesterday while out and tried some. Far too sweet for me, I'm afraid. I looked up things to do with it and it looks like it can be used to make fudge as well as fondant. Possibly other things, idk. At the very least, I'll make fudge with the stuff. Dark chocolate so as to use up some of its inherent sweetness.
