cook it so long that you'll have thought you burned them--but once you bit into your burger, it actually tastes amazing. that's what you should do.

Bake buns, let cheese melt on the patty, put tomato slices, pickled onion and lettuce on top. Sauce on both halves of the bun.
The above is the base, you can switch things up, I recently used raclette cheese, some panned mushroom slices and a sunny side up egg on top of a veggie patty with the veggies from the base and it was delicious.

I make them well but I don't make them super thick like the op. For burgers thin smashed patties work the best, you can make them well without drying them out since they are done cooking in just 1 or 2 minutes that way. Really thick burger patties are kind of gross no matter how they are cooked.

1. Make large meatball (as in literal ball of meat, don't add shit)
2. Get cast iron pan stupid hot (turn on fans for the smoke)
3. Put meatball on pan and smoosh with fatty spatty
4. When it's time to flip, get a metal spatula, and scrape it all up, don't loose and sear
5. Enjoy (salt + pepper)

If you weigh the original meatball, you can then essentially choose thickness by how much you flatten it compared to the with of the spatula.

I mean, yeah: my parents weren't drooling retarded cavemen like yours, and I've had the luxury of proper, sustained nutrition since birth. U mad, yuropoor?

And, just to educate you: "first/second/third world" is a term to denote that country's relation to the US (the US being "first world," obviously), NOT to explicitly signify their economic standing. A direct ally (like the UK): "first world." A country not-at-all allied with the US (like N. Korea): "third world." There are clear overlaps in the traditional definition and your incorrect usage, but the point still stands: your use is incorrect.

>> No.13175956

I don't know how you're cooking them but a cast iron or griddle is a better plan. You want a high enough heat to sear the burger. 80/20. Salt and pepper. How much depends on how big the burgers are. A burger is best cooked medium in my opinion. Too rare makes for a cold and gooey texture. Look at the sides of the patty as it cooks upward. Juice starts coming to the top around medium-rare so let it go for another minute or so. I'm not really sure what else to tell you. Don't put in eggs or breadcrumbs though. It's not a fucking meatloaf.

Ramsay has a personal butcher who he probably watches slaughter the cow in real time. You're not getting safe/quality beef at the average supermarket.
