To be fair, i'd rather it sit waiting BEFORE baking, instead of after baking.

If it's a 15 min wait before it goes in the oven and then it leaves the store right after it's out, that's fine by me.

I hate when my pizza sits there at "quality check" stage, just under a lamp.

I don't know ANYONE who likes the pan pizza from dominos.

Anytime I'm with a friend and Dominos is being ordered, it's pretty much always medium hand tossed 2 topping deal with some people opting for a sub or a pasta.

It's by FAR the cheapest and most flexible option on the entire menu, that's been a staple of their menu for YEARS, and you're telling me a $9 pan pizza that i've seen ordered MAYBE twice in the past 5 years is the MOST popular option? Fuck off, i simply wont believe that without proof.

you still haven't explained what the delivery fee is supposed to be for if it's not the additional cost for having your pizza delivered.

>> No.13165656

>>13165586
Paying someone to interview drivers, evaluate and decide on a sensible delivery area, upkeep and maintain a database of addresses in the local area that are within your specific delivery range, etc, etc.

There are a lot of costs that go into running a delivery portion of a business.
Part of that money also goes to the delivery driver's hourly pay, but because he is a tipped employee, he likely isn't paid an hourly rate similar to the minimum wage, he is likely relying on tips to make up the remainder of his income.

Some nights he could score $20-30/hour, some night he might only get $10/hr

So those tips can really make or break the job, especially considering he has to use his OWN personal vehicle that he needs to maintain while working the job, which depending on the car can be a solid chunk of $$ by itself.

tldr; if you don't understand why drivers get tipped AND you pay a delivery fee, you're probably not cut out to run a business in the slightest.

Like I said, feel free to encourage your local pizza place to increase costs and cut tipping as long as they pay their drivers a reasonable ~$15/hr instead of their $5/hr + tips they currently get.

And if you don't want a delivery fee, try and convince them to increase their base costs even higher to account for that overhead as well.

Now you're only paying $17 for a medium, $22 for a large, and $25 for an XL.

Enjoy the pizza
