Friendly reminder, lemonade and limeade are the most degenerate drinks on the planet because nothing is ever supposed to show off the two common fruit only meant to flavor other things as the only thing besides water and sugar. Its diabetes fuel and unless you reduce the acid or dilute to nonefficical amounts, it'll rot your teeth. Its literally the cheapest flavored drinks that doesn't use any ingredients a brainlet cannot pronounce. If you want to enjoy drinking some citrus without a taste tripping drug, drink some juice from an orange, grapefruit, or any of their cousins you, a normal person, would normally drink alone without any fancy modifications besides maybe a preferred amount of pulp.

Come at me, my body is ready.

Lemme ask you this, do you normally EAT common lemons or limes? Sure you can sprinkle some sugar on it to make it a little less intolerable, but you know its not for human consumption as is. Why would drinking it ever be a good idea unless you had nothing else and really needed vitamin C?

>> No.13071655

probably still much healthier than drinking coke still though

Because it tastes good as a drink. I don't get why adding sugar is any different than adding salt to any other dish

Almost forgot, lemon-lime as one makes sense for strictly soda only because it has at least two dimensions of flavor so its not COMPLETELY shit but yeah sugar, but generally phosphate buffers handle most of the phosphoric acid preventing acidosis in some sodas while carbonic acid will decay most of the way into water and co2 gas thats belched before the pyloric sphincter passes it to the intestines.

Drinking lemonade or limeade is the drink equivalent of sucking ketchup and mustard from packets and getting an order of complimentary bread to make a free jam and/or butter sandwich, THEN getting water with lemon and squeezing it in and mixing in sugar or sweetener packets to get your free not plain water, to go. Your not fooling anyone when you ask for a bag and they probably have the right to just laugh and throw you out.

Acid breaks down enamel yes, sugar is what rots your teeth though.

Not really if you can into fluoride toothpaste and protect the dentin with in tact enamel surrounding it, ya know, like how teeth in all human evolved to have in the first place. btw, your pineal gland doesn't crystallize and wouldn't anyway when you spit out the toothpaste and mouthwash and no drink it.

Fluorine helps to strengthen the calcium in your teeth to prevent tooth decay but acid still breaks down the enamel flouride or not. Brushing in general helps to keep your teeth healthy and free from decay though drinking sugary/acidic/alcoholic beverages will impact your teeth regardless.
I don't follow the conspiracy shit about crystalization, there is enough flouride in my shower anyway since I don't have whole home filtration and I never once mentioned flouride before your post lmao.

Do you know why we use fluoride for teeth? Its because fluoride ions are far more impervious to acids than natural hydroxide ions. Fluoride is there NOT to strengthen shit, its to mitigate all the acids we expose to our teeth to sure up the enamel at its mercy.

>> No.13071751

>>13071736
Well the process is literally the flourines bonding with the calcium in the teeth to help prevent decay thereby stengthening the teeth. It literally has nothing to do with acids. The water most people drink every day contain flouride, the water in their showers give more flouride than you can ever need, the water in the toilet that you drink from is laden with it, so by your account acid doesn't matter so why not drink a tasty beverage?

>> No.13071773

>>13071751
I guess you dont know about single replacement reactions like the exchange of Fluorine with a stonger electron affinity than the body's naturally hydroxide polyatomic ion in the form of calcium hydroxide in your enamel's crystal matrix. The use of fluorides will cause the calcium hydroxide to turn into calcium fluoride, a much much better safe material that resists acids much more but overall does not increase the bonding chemicals and soft tissue between sections in its microstructure.

Dude I don't know half these words lel. Acid bad, sugar bad, brushing good don't know why you're so artistic about this you fucking dental hygenist.
