How do I make food more healthy without compromising taste? I don't want to inadvertently fatten those around me.

Use Olestra and Stevia instead of fat and sugar.

Don't
Life is too short and if you want "healthy" crap you can eat pretend/scam foods like vegan cheese or miracle burgers

Eat what you love with those you love
Work out a shit ton too

There's no uncompromising shortcut. Use less fat, salt and sugar, use smaller portions, eat more veggies. It's not complicated, but it's not hard.

Maybe plate them specific portions instead of putting all the food on the table? You need to be specific about the food you're already making. Are you constantly making fried chicken and gravy? Are you serving rice, veggies, and pork? At a certain point you can't make things much "healthier" without compromising taste, but you can help people with portion control.

Cut the sugar out. It'll compromise taste until you adjust to it, and then a lot of things will simply taste better than they ever have.

Additionally, avoid buying premade sauces, they tend to have far more sugar than they actually need. Instead of adding sugar for recipes, cook things down when applicable to release the sugars inside the food you are preparing.

When making desserts(infrequently one would hope), use maple syrup in place of sugar. It's calorie for calorie sweeter.

Avoid cheese. It's not necessary to make food taste good. If you do use cheese, buy high quality, primo stuff like cheddar aged multiple years, and then just use less, instead of a pile of cheap brick cheese.

Smaller portions

If you set up your food so you have a range of things you can add in oils and less agreeable carbs into the mix and have a continuous set up of good things to eat. It's more work that way. You could always hire an expert, and get that taken care of. The perfect problem fixer, "throw money at it". lol Most likely the solution you wanted to know about.

Try mindfulness and it will enhance all your senses including taste.
