Today's dish is Marinated Flank Steak!
It's easy to p-repare and the marinade makes it taste so good!

S-so, the ingredients you're going to need are as follows:
-1 London Broil Top Round Steak
-Kosher Salt
-Fresh Ground Pepper
-1/4c Extra Virgin Olive Oil
-Juice of half a lemon
-2 TBSP packed Brown Sugar
-1 TBSP Worcestshire sauce
-4 cloves of garlic

Okay, so for this step, what we are going to do is z-zest a lemon!
This gets added into the marinade to make the steak tender and flavorful!
Don't scrape too much of the white part. It's bitter and will ruin the flavor.

I know that it _says_ "minced garlic" but I really wanted to use this garlic p-press I had!
I also didn't want to have s-sticky hands for the rest of this video. Kinda gross.

Okay! It's time to add the b-brown sugar!
2 tablespoons in fact!
Very easy s-step. You can't possibly fuck it up.

The recipe calls for the juice of half a lemon...
So squeeze the lemon that we just used for zesting!
A warm lemon will produce more juice, so pop them in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

Okay, time to add the 1/4c of Olive oil!
I used Extra Virgin, I w-would only buy this kind.
D-don't try to use vegetable oil.

The recipe called for 1 TBSP of Worcestshire sauce, which goes well with the meat and helps tenderize it.
You can c-choose to add a little more if you like. You're n-not limited to simply what the recipe calls for.

Okay! Remember that garlic we pressed or minced earlier? Now it's time to add it to the marinade!
Remember the r-recipe called for 4 cloves of garlic.

I chose to add 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper.
Freshly ground black pepper is preferred, b-but I don't always have it on hand.

Alright, n-now for the ingredient that really enhances the flavor: SALT

For the salt, I added 1 full teaspoon.
I used k-kosher salt because I like how big the pieces are and how well it coats the steeak.

Whisk it up!
Whisk it g-good. <4

Okay! T-time to marinade the steak for about an hour at room temp!
Flip the steak halfway t-through to make sure that the m-marinade coats it completely.

That way it'll h-have lots of flavor <4

After you marinade the s-steak, it's time to wipe off that marinade before we put it in the b-broiler.
Burnt garlic isn't a good flavor for your steak! Also your kitchen. Bad s-smell.

Came out more w-well done than I had hoped but that just means you should cook it for less time!
Broilers get r-real hot so make sure you don't use a glass pan! It'll crack and shatter.
