What do you cook most with? Wood, Nylon, Silicone or Steel? Preference from just the tactile feel of the utensil?

Steel or wood utensils 90% of the time. I have a rubber spatula for baking and a non-stick safe spatula for cooking eggs.

They should be in drawers. The kitchen counter is not a drafting desk.

Wood of course

I cook with wood most of the time and use metal or plastic for serving.

I like plastic cutting boards instead of wood because they dont warp and are hard wearing. I like silicone pastry brushes. I dont care about my cup measure or my spoon measure.

I buy special tongs from a restaurant supply because others are thin metal and flimsy and cut my fingers.

I use a pizza knife instead of a pizza weel, and I also use silicone spatula for some things and metal ones for others.

I've switched most my pots and pans over to stainless steel except for one for eggs, so I use stainless steel utensils. I'm tired of teflon cookware going to shit and all the utensils going to shit when they could last a lifetime.

This is a great idea. I'll have to use my fire pit in the backyard as i don't have a fireplace.

Silicone spatula used sometimes to get stuff out of a bowl. Silicone brush sometimes to brush something over some meat ect.

In those uses they dont touch the heat. But there is high temp silicone used in baking all the time.
