The tastiest and juiciest oranges are Florida oranges. More difficult to peel, but that is what knives are for. Weak, watery, bland citrus from non-Florida locales such as California and Brazil are not worth a damn. Ease of peeling is an issue until one reaches age 4. If you're in the southern US, and they're locally grown, they may be labelled as tangerines, especially if hybridized. If the skin will bunch a little bit when it's ripe, it's definitely some sort of Satsuma/C. Unshiu - purebred or hybrid.
