Hey /ck/, I'm breeding my pet rabbit but right now is a test run and I won't be able to keep the first litter since I don't have enough space in my apartment right now. Are there any recipes for fetal rabbit? I know they're referred to as "laurices" in medieval literature but I'm wondering if anyone here has actually tried cooking with them.

Rabbits are basically fetal when they're newborn, it's either this or the garbage disposal

How long till you move to a bigger space? Domestic bunnies have a short lifespan. You should consider keeping the biggest female from the litter for future breeding and eating the mother instead. Raise the rest (not much space needed) till they can make enough meat for a sandwich at least. Continue breeding the fattest female till you move out

So you eat the babies whole because they don’t have any poop yet?

My recommendation would be to harvest the urine and sell it at farmers markets to wiccan and neopagan larping chunkies.

rabbits are only eaten by edgelords, there isnt enough meat for it to be worth your time preparing, same for squirrels and other bipeds

i imagine it's not too difficult. what you plan to do with them when you have enough space? properly prepared rabbit pelts sell fairly well at farmers markets n shit like that, might as well make use of the whole thing if you plan to eat them when they're grown too.

Also this is fucking based. Reminds me of the pig ranching and mushroom tending in the post apocalyptic Russian subway setting of Metro 2033.

I wonder how rare you can cook fetal rabbit? Normally rabbit should be brought up to 138-151 in order to kill off F. tularensis (depending on the cut and upbringing of the animal), but a newborn rabbit won't be exposed to much bacteria theoretically.

Maybe parboil them, batter and deep fry them. Serve them with Rocky Mountain oysters and them lift heavy weights. Maybe post on /fit/ after

>> No.12983120

easypeasy: blanch to kill them (or whatever your preference for humane slaughter (errr...”harvesting”);
flour/egg wash/flour-cornmeal mixture; fry 350 x 6-7 min
a lot like balut except cooked, hot, not gross; the very thin bones crunch but it’s texture that is pleasant

Why not just sell the little nuggets instead of eating them?
1 it would taste subpar
2 its just fuckin weird
3 you get to make a profit and only need to keep them until they are weaned
4 the mom might just eat them anyways because its her first litter
5 if you wait til they grow up youd have more meat and it would be easier to cook

You can use them as pregnancy tests. Inject with the urine from the female under test - if the rabbit dies she's pregnant.

Praire dogs do that too when scoping out their territory to make sure that they're not being attacked by birds or coyotes and stuff.
