This one Chinese place I used to visit in my old neighborhood has a really cool cashier. I would always grab takeout after work on either Friday's or Saturdays and it was just before close so there was hardly people there so I'd just talk about video games and computers with him. Any other time and it was always either too busy or he wasn't there.

I mean, I'd love a place in the city if money meant nothing to me. I've worked renovations on some pretty nice penthouse condos owned by rich chink businessmen and movie stars.They always choose the shittiest-looking imported fixtures and furniture.
Last one I worked on, though, the layout of the place is basically a beautiful mansion on a tower. Two floors, four bedrooms, massive open-concept living area and dining room, kitchen with four ovens and two dishwashers, a decorative wineroom with solar-tinted glass walls, and tonnes of shit. Guy paid for three servants to live on the floor below him, full-time, all-year, and he only spent maybe a month or two at the place every year.

The kitchen layout was a layout was a little all over the place. The new plans seemed like someone went around and randomly pointed, "I want ovens there, there, and there." And the finish on the over and dishwasher doors made them look exactly like the other cupboards. Is this this the plate cupboard? Nope, it's a pot roast.
