I went to Jollibee in London a few weeks ago. My wife is Filipino and we love about 80 miles from London, so she’s been bugging me to take her since it opened last year. We took our seven year old daughter and for the entire drive my wife was telling me how it’s the best fast food ever and she was so excited. Went there after going to the science museum which isn’t too far away. It was pretty disappointing. Firstly it was tiny, like really small maybe 50 people could fit in it. I went at lunch so it took forever for us to find somewhere to sit down. I effectively had to body shove some gooks out the way in order to find us a seat. Tried a little of everything, I had some spaghetti which was ok, I used to it being sweet as I have the del Monte Phillipines style spaghetti sauce at home when she craves Filipino food. The chicken joy was absolutely trash. The crispy coating tasted horrible and the chicken just tasted wrong. Rice is rice and just boring. The hot dog was the best thing on the menu but even that was average and while I was eating I was very cramped and could only hear a bunch of gooks chattering away in Tagalog. Our daughter didn’t really eat anything except the rice. My wife had a great time and said it was delicious so we agreed and said it was great just because she was so excited but really it was like 3/10
