This pizza is only acceptable to make if you work at a pizza place. While everyone was prepping their stations, sometimes I would fire off a breakfast pizza with green peppers, red onion, jalapenos, sausage and crack a couple eggs on top. Great for morale.

at my elementary school in Virginia they served breakfast pizza one or two days a week. also was at the place i spent most of high school and middle school a few years later in another state.
i usually didn't eat breakfast at school but it was on the menu. pic isnt of my school but a US school lunch menu from 1974

My local pizza place does a pizza called 'the morning after'. It's a breakfast pizza with bacon, egg, sausage, cheese, and cheesy hashbrown stuffed crust with a choice of either tomato or bbq sauce as a base on the pizza. It's designed to take home and put in the fridge and eat when you wake up in the morning after a night out

Aw fuck yeah, I also grew up in VA eating breakfast pizza. That shit with the sausage in square form? It was absolutely amazing. The first few years I lost a few of my baby teeth eating one of those. And the smell, my god the smell, it would fill the whole cafeteria. It's nice to hear from someone who remembers those as well. Michelle rolled around right at the height of my worship of those squares of delight and zapped the soulful quality straight out of that pizza and also completely vanished the other thing I loved, those apple-jam filled churros.
