What is your countries equivalent to the American hot dog?

AKA - A food that is cheap and unhealthy, yet ready-to-eat, tasty, filling and easily obtainable at any stand/food store?

In New Zealand (or Australia) is the mince pie. There's always a bakery/lunch bar within a 1km radius with on ready and waiting to be consumed.

For Americans specifically I'm interested in knowing what is particular to your state.

In Finland it's pic related, a pastry called "meat pie" that's filled with a minced meat. Since there usually isn't a lot of filling in the pie itself it's typically ordered with either a sausage, a fried egg, a burger patty or any combination of those and served with the same condiments as a hot dog.

The 7/11 pies can be kind of okay on a good day, but 90% of the time they're garbage too. Then you got those Pie Face shops popping up which taste okay but fucking fall apart if you so much as look at them so you basically need to sit down and eat them on a plate. Italy here.

It’s heavily dependent on the area/region/city I’m in so it’s actually hard to answer.

Pic related is a panino with salamella (a local sausage that is cut open and cooked flat on the grill), you can find it as typical street food from food trucks especially outside the stadium or in some fixed places.

It’s usually served garnished with stewed onions, red peppers, cheese and a sauce of your choice (usually mayonnaise) but you can customise it with other ingredients such as mushrooms, artichokes on oil, etc..

It’s quite inexpensive and literally everywhere.

I'm not sure if that's the case so much anymore especially with so many quick foreign foods available. There are hotdogs at 7/11 but where I live there are no hotdog food stands and aren't usually in fast food places aside from a sonic that's not in my immediate area. There are a lot of fast taco and burrito heavy quick and cheap mexican restaurants and the only food trucks I ever see are mexican ones. There are plenty of typical national fast food restaurants and also all kinds of asian restaurants where you can grab a meal to go pretty quickly even if you don't order pickup ahead of time. Out of all the quick and inexpensive things that I could grab in a pinch, a gas station hotdog is at the absolute lowest of my wish list and doesn't seem to be hugely common for people to buy compared with everything else available.
