The only meat I can find is pork, beef, or chicken.
We have literally hundreds of perfectly-edible animal species on this planet and yet the wealthiest countries on the planet only eats three of them.
Where can I find some other types of meat to eat (at a good price)?

Also, this is a thread for general discussion of meat that isn't pork, beef, or chicken.

BTW, if it wasn't obvious, I'm talking land-dwelling animals here, not waterborne animals like fish.

It depends on what your region produces.
You want lamb? Go to a place that has a lot of sheep.

Pigeon and rabbit are fairly tasty and significantly different from other kinds of meat. Would recommend although I don't know where to get them if you don't raise them yourselves.

restaurant or a butcher?
look at the reviews, some places will put up specialized foods to just draw people in without knowing how to cook them
>dry as fuck lamb burgers
>dry as fuck buffalo burgers
if people review it good its probably as good or better than you'll manage as a first timer

I had some sausage made from wild boar one time that was excellent. Never tried it, but when I worked in a manufacturing district a guy used to park a pickup full of dressed racoons to sell. I only ever saw blacks buying them.

Sounds like enough variety for day-to-day life.
You can always buy other types of meat in fancy, specialised stores.

In your local public wilderness area.
Cost varies by state, but it's usually the cost of a decent .338 or 30.06 rifle, price of ammo, cost of practice time, price of hunting license, and price of tags.

I'd recommend going on a hunting trip with a mentor for your first time. It will greatly increase your chances of a kill, an they'll teach you how to field-dress it.

Oh, bring some tarps, warm clothes, a snack, some water, a large cooler, and a set of sharp knives.

Other kinds of meat are actually cheaper usually, unless it’s like elk or moose or something. Buy venison hearts, dirt cheap iron rich meat. On that note, cow hearts are usually pretty cheap too because it’s considered offal even though it’s the same thing as meat.
