Quite the opposite. People will rather adapt and adjust their farming practices based on reasonable complaints and arguments, instead of just dropping farming livestock altogether. We have a surprising amount of insight into what goes into making our food in this day and age, and thus we also have more of an ability to affect change.
Complaining about unethical or inefficient farming practices might not make people outright give up on meat, but it has lead to plenty of improvements in farming as an industry.

Vegans position is very hypocritical and dishonest. Vegans moan and sob about "factory farming." All the time with "factory farming."

OK so vegans are against factory farming, so they must support and promote pastureland beef where the cows are grassland raised and live outdoor lives then???

FUCK NO LOL. Factory farming is just a powerful emotional propaganda target to hammer home ... In vegan brainwashing campaigns. Vegans are simply promoting their starvation cult using methods that work, they don't care if you have the best biggest free range ranch on Earth. Every government will tell you they are not corrupt. Don't believe them. Look at UK parliament at the moment. Assuming things are free range or organic from supermarkets? That's a joke. As recently as 1999, it was commonly stated that babies could not feel pain until they were a year old,[2] but today it is believed newborns and likely even fetuses beyond a certain age can experience pain.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pain_in_babies

When babies felt no pain - The Boston Globe
https://www.bostonglobe.com 2017/07/28 when-babies-felt-pain story
Jul 29, 2017 - For years, even as life-saving surgeries became more invasive, longer, and ... the majority of newborns still underwent them without anesthetic.

On April 21, 1933, almost immediately after the Nazis came to power, the parliament began to pass laws for the regulation of animal slaughter.[8] On April 21, a law was passed concerning the slaughter of animals; no animals were to be slaughtered without anesthetic.

On April 24, Order of the Prussian Ministry of the Interior was enacted regarding the slaughter of poikilotherms.[10] Germany was the first nation to ban vivisection.[11] A law imposing total ban on vivisection was enacted on August 16, 1933, by Hermann Göring as the prime minister of Prussia.[12] He announced an end to the "unbearable torture and suffering in animal experiments" and said that those who "still think they can continue to treat animals as inanimate property" will be sent to concentration camps.[8] On August 28, 1933, Göring announced in a radio broadcast:[13]

An absolute and permanent ban on vivisection is not only a necessary law to protect animals and to show sympathy with their pain, but it is also a law for humanity itself.... I have therefore announced the immediate prohibition of vivisection and have made the practice a punishable offense in Prussia. Until such time as punishment is pronounced the culprit shall be lodged in a concentration camp.[13]

Like for what? usually the land they use for free range isn't good for crops either way, and factory farming takes a lot of crops to maintain itself.

All the short-haired cows would have a fighting chance from Texas on South. But these fat beef cattle would probably die out, not optimized for self sufficiency. Same with the docile milk cows.

The Texas longhorn breed exists today, basically because they survived so well, in the wild (they're a hybrid of survivors, not a natural breed. The buffalo can survive easily from northern Canada into Mexico (if we didn't wipe them out etc) and specialty breeds like the Highlander cows can presumably survive along with the buffalo anywhere.

Moose, elk and deer etc are surviving in the wild today, bears, Lions and etc are getting muscled out as man paves over more and more of their natural habitat sadly.

Don't worry, I knew you wouldn't be able to respond to hypothetical scenarios to show how stupid you are just because the current situation has humans on top.

Get real faggot, stop living in your fantasy land, you should be an adult since you're here, act like one and stop pulling childish fantasies. Also nice hypothetical fantasy counter to an actual real world historical fact.

Are you retarded? The reason people are "generally unwilling" to buy free range is because it cost thrice as much as regular food
I don't know where you're from but where I live I can buy 3 to 4 dozen of eggs for the price of one "free range" dozen (with some bio free range 32 different ecological label chicken costing even more)
