id get an instant pot, its quick, cheap, and there are a million recipes free on the internet. you can slow cook for tender mouth watering proteins, stews, etc, and you can get silicone lids for the pots so the leftovers can go right in the fridge.

Unironically, "Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat."
I gifted it to nephew, who I thought was incapable of boiling an egg, and now, 7 months later he is good at cooking. From ordering uber eats almost daily, he now seasons a stew perfectly.

The book has some recipes but mainly it helps the reader understand some of the most key elements of cooking. I think it's a great springboard - tailor made for beginners.

Dude, while I agree that the internet has plenty of recipes and cook-along videos, a random internet user's "carbonara" or ragú recipe do not often offer any context, history or professional accumen that help you understand the dish you're making and not just following some steps the way you think it's meant to be interpreted. Cookbooks are much more than recipe collections - they offer general and specific advice on cookware, ingredients, methodology and cuisine.

It's fine you enjoy recipes online, but lashing out at someone and calling them retarded for enjoying cookbooks is both unproductive and definitely scores on the negative for what force you wish to be in the world.

Why are you on this forum if you don't care about sharing expertise for cooking?

Let's chill out and be more agreeable next time, please.
