Impossible Whopper tastes about the same if you eat it all together, but if you taste the patty on its own you can easily tell it's not real meat. It's not bad though, and I'd probably eat it more often anyway if it was cheaper.

Fast food burgers never tasted like much to begin with. I'm not saying you aren't allowed to like it but talking like you like eating meat and having fast food is contradictory. I replaced the patty with other ingredients mashed together for years and I'm never looking back.

They put the patties in the same try as the burgers. All those juices get into the patties that why it tastes like meat.

I decided to try a whopper (the regular one, I'll never try the vegan thing) on a whim for the first time in years. I had concluded way back that they have the worst burgers. Dunno why but holy shit I'm borderline addicted to whoppers now. The veggies are actually good, the patty with that weird articifical smoke flavor just works for me now, and they seem to be sweeter overall than other burgers, presumably because of the bread. I want one right now. It's strange but this is all true.
