What you gonna fill them with?

Tamales are based but I'm too lazy to actually make them and just have some place make them for me for Christmas.

>What you gonna fill them with?
Pork, though some of the tamales have a strip of jalapeno, carrots, potatoes, but most and just pork

Im only making some because I was gifted a whole pig leg and had no clue on what to make with it, ooh was there a lot of fat on that piece of leg

The only hard part would be the pig and made the leaves because of your location, either way I have hope for you
>>12798667
>How many people have you decapitated?
None, only a leg (pic related) I did the best that I could since the leg was still frozen after a whole day of defrosting
>also, how much lard do you add?
I dont add lard to the meat only to the masa and it wasn't much, though that liquid you are seeing at the base is just the Chile

>Also what are yall planning to cook

I made a thing. Pretty sure it qualifies as food. It's kinda like an Indian-Italian fusion thing.

>parboil some hot italian sausages
>cut them up
>brown them
>reserve
>use some of the rendered fat to saute onions and garlic
>add in pepper, cayanne, chili powder, turmeric, cumin
>toast this up nice
>toss in some mushrooms
>add back in the sausage
>tomato sauce
>curry leaves and oregano
>simmer that shit for a bit
>serve over gnocchi
>top with parmesan
>serve along side some fresh apple, blackberry, carrot and spinach juice

It was a fun experiment but definitely won't make it again.

I have my masa and husks. All I need is my protein that I want to cook. I figure chicken or pork to start with? I'm looking for a sauce I might want to make with them.
Since I'm white..I'm gonna be doing this myself and only youtube to tell me what to do. This probably will happen this weekend but I'd still like input on ideas. I know I have to steam them. I have an old steamer my mom gave me. But I thought I was supposed to do them in a big pot.
