Pineapple doesn't fucking have bite. It's mild as it gets. You don't feel your tongue sting from pineapple juice unless you have some sort of rare genetic disorder.

>> No.12783735

>>12783722
it has nothing to do with your own genetics
it's literally an enzyme the pineapple has
i used to work with them all fucking day
shit breaks down proteins both in your mouth and outside

oranges don't have that shit

>> No.12783749

>>12783735
I'm talking about having a bite to it, not whether it has an enzyme that breaks down proteins in your mouth.
Pineapple doesn't have any bite to it.

>oranges have more of a bite than pineapple
Is your tongue defective? Pineapple are more acidic than oranges by a good deal. Here is a list for you by PHs.

lemon juice (pH: 2.00–2.60)
limes (pH: 2.00–2.80)
blue plums (pH: 2.80–3.40)
grapes (pH: 2.90–3.82)
pomegranates (pH: 2.93–3.20)
grapefruits (pH: 3.00–3.75)
blueberries (pH: 3.12–3.33)
pineapples (pH: 3.20–4.00)
apples (pH: 3.30–4.00)
peaches (pH: 3.30–4.05)
oranges (pH: 3.69–4.34)
tomatoes (pH: 4.30–4.90)

also i would like to clarify the acidity isn't what makes pineapple sting
it's specifically that enzyme I was talking about
even though pineapples are higher on that list

pH isn't food acidity you retards. You can have a low pH and nearly no acid content or a moderately low pH and a very high acid content.
Grapes obviously aren't more acidic than oranges. You all just pretended that was true based on a chart you misunderstood instead of checking against actual common sense experience.

Wouldn't they hate or fear the grapefruit?
90% of them are on medicine and grapefruit messes with all of them.
Nor would they like the tangy and bitter taste.

Yes, they sting most everyone's tongue. Not in a way that's crippingly painful and makes you avoid it, but it's very noticeable. Especially if you have chapped lips or a tiny cut on them.
It's pleasant, not unlike how carbonation's bite in a soda or the menthol in a cigarette or the sting of wasabi (or whatever fake green mustard they pass off as wasabi at sushi places in the US) all give you a pleasant string (each in its own different way of course).

Pineapple contains more acid than oranges you tard.

They sting your tongue and pineapples don't? Despite pineapples being more acidic and containing more acid and having a particular enzyme that heightens the effect.

that's citric acid and the pleasant part is subjective

i agree that i generally like it but i wouldn't call it a sting by any means unless it gets in a cut

the wasabi at sushi places in the US is often just horseradish that's been dyed green because wasabi is a fickle, expensive crop

still don't know how you have more of a reaction to oranges than pineapples though
