they ruin burgers though. the texture and sour taste is too different from everything else.
there's a reason why the first thing everyone does at a burger place is open the burger, get the pickle out and throw it away. or you order your burger without pickles so it comes fresh.

Pickles work better accompanying a burger than on top of it. Between the lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mustard usually found on burgers, what pickles bring to the table is lost. They can work on a plain burger, they work on a chicken sandwich, but otherwise you're better off with a spear on the side.

Actually I think Wendy's has the best pickles. I've never been able to find them anywhere else. They're different; they're crispier and seem to be cured differently.
