Author has a pretty solid consulting business model for more than a decade before the book was released. A lot of people will tell you that self-help seminars and authoring programs is where the really big money is at...imagine the income from being one of the highly paid invited speakers at every type of professional convention, from medical conferences to professional learning societies, the list is endless for someone who left a legal profession, cured post partum depression and got a degree in nutrition. Imagine being, oh say, and actress, and you're too damn tired to do 3 shows a day on Broadway at your age. Speed dial your nutritionist to prescribe the formula to stop your uhh menopause. It happens.

The author has a lot of self-help style affiirmations and -isms on the website, to be sure, but when and if your friends are all models, fitness freaks, execs and busy professionals, you've never seen people completely not eat for enjoyment but to be drug free and running marathons when they used to lay on the couch with rheumatoid arthritis. People will suck up any help they can if they feel like shit and they have money.
